What is Ozone Chain?
Network design
Ozone Chain runs Ethereum-compatible smart contracts on its own blockchain. Its documentation describes the consensus mechanism as proof of stake. The mainnet uses chain ID 4000 and OZO as its native currency. Standard EVM wallets can connect to the network. The project's published target block interval is approximately five seconds. OZO covers transaction execution and network fees.
Cryptography
Ozone Chain adds lattice-based post-quantum cryptography to inter-node communications. It also incorporates random numbers derived from quantum processes. These values feed the entropy used by cryptographic operations. The mainnet documentation describes an API that supplies this additional randomness to node systems. These features concern network cryptography and random-number generation. EVM application execution remains part of the underlying blockchain layer.
Issuance and applications
The published maximum OZO supply is one billion. The allocation reserves 15% for staking rewards and 9% for liquidity. Team tokens have a published 24-month cliff followed by 18 months of vesting. The ecosystem includes a decentralized exchange, staking services, naming tools and certificate-verification applications. OZO functions as the operating asset for transactions across these services.
