What is Pharos?
Network architecture
Pharos launched its public Pacific Ocean mainnet on April 28, 2026. The network is designed for stablecoins, payments and tokenized financial products. Its architecture combines parallel execution, asynchronous pipelining and a dedicated storage engine. EVM compatibility lets developers use Ethereum contract tooling. Special Processing Networks extend the main network with application-specific execution environments. These extensions have their own processing requirements and operating configuration.
PROS functions
PROS pays transaction fees and onchain execution costs. The published Proof-of-Stake framework uses it for validator participation and delegation. It also assigns token holders a role in proposals concerning upgrades and network parameters. Ecosystem allocations support developer grants, liquidity initiatives and asset onboarding. Additional asset-specific uses remain subject to future implementation and governance.
Genesis and issuance
The private mainnet genesis mint created one billion PROS on December 12, 2025. This is the genesis supply, with additional issuance permitted under the staking policy. The published schedule specifies zero staking inflation for the first six months, followed by a 5% annual rate. The Foundation can adjust that rate according to network conditions. Core team and private investor allocations have a 12-month cliff followed by 36 months of linear vesting.
