What is Pig Finance?
Overview
Pig Finance is a yield-generating token built on BNB Chain that simplifies farming by eliminating the need for asset pairing and the associated risks of liquidity management. The project was launched with all token supply seeded as liquidity in Pancakeswap, with no presale or team allocation at inception. This structure makes Pig Finance entirely community-driven.
How it works
Each transaction on PIG incurs a 5% tax: 3% is automatically added to liquidity reserves, while 2% is distributed to token holders proportional to their holdings. Half of the total supply was sent to a burn address at launch, creating a deflationary mechanism where the burn address absorbs a portion of the ongoing 2% holder distributions.
Token and supply
PIG has a maximum supply of 1 quadrillion tokens. The token functions as a frictionless farming asset where holders earn yields through transaction redistribution. Liquidity is permanently locked on Pancakeswap, with contract ownership transferred to the burn address to prevent changes to the mechanism.
