What is Plume?
Network and assets
Plume opened its public Genesis mainnet on June 5, 2025. The network supports EVM applications alongside infrastructure for real-world asset tokenization. Issuers can represent assets such as credit instruments and investment products onchain. These instruments retain their own backing, ownership conditions and transfer rules. PLUME itself serves as the network's operating token. Its gas function covers transactions and contract interactions.
Token economics
The published total supply is 10 billion PLUME. At the token generation event, 20% was initially circulating. Community, ecosystem and foundation allocations together account for 59%. Early backers receive 21%, while core contributors receive 20%. Ecosystem allocations cover grants, liquidity, validator rewards and community activity. Release schedules bring allocated tokens into circulation over time.
Participation
PLUME supports staking and participation in network security. The governance design gives holders a role in network decisions. Incentive programs reward ecosystem activity and development. Plume also operates Nest vaults that hold underlying tokenized investments. Their yield is reflected in the value of separate vault tokens. Holding PLUME alone does not constitute ownership of every tokenized asset deployed on the chain.
