What is PolySwarm?
Threat-intelligence marketplace
PolySwarm organizes multiple security engines around suspicious artifacts. These can include files, URLs, domains and IP addresses. An Ambassador submits an artifact as a bounty. Engines decide whether to analyze it. Participating engines report a malicious or benign classification. The Ambassador combines those assertions into a customer-facing verdict. PolySwarm operates this Ambassador role.
Bids and verification
Engines may bid NCT to express confidence in an assertion. Arbiters establish ground truth after additional time and evidence. Engines matching that outcome receive rewards. Incorrect assertions can lose the NCT placed at stake. This creates an economic cost for inaccurate high-confidence bids. Public Communities provide an open starting environment. Private Communities support selected customers and data-handling arrangements. Access to those environments depends on configuration and customer selection. PolySwarm handles the marketplace's blockchain interactions for engine operators.
