What is GAL (migrated to Gravity - G)?
Galxe ecosystem
Galxe provides tools for identity, credentials and user engagement. Projects use Galxe Quest to organize participation campaigns. Passport supports identity verification within the ecosystem. Score provides an on-chain reputation product. The platform also offers developer interfaces for integrating credentials and user data.
Migration to G
The Galxe community approved the migration through proposals GP-25 and GP-30. The official migration launched in July 2024. Its conversion ratio is one GAL for 60 G. On-chain conversion burns submitted GAL and delivers G on the same network. Exchange-held balances followed each venue's migration procedures.
Legacy token status
The migration announcement transferred GAL's existing utilities to G. G supports payments and governance across Galxe and Gravity. Gravity transaction fees use G. G's initial issuance was 12 billion tokens. A remaining GAL balance therefore represents the legacy asset rather than the ecosystem's current gas token.
