What is Prometheus?
Overview
Prometheus is a community-operated token launched on Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer-2 network operated by Robinhood. The project emerged from an on-chain origin tied to an official Grok account reply. It exists as a meme token within the Robinhood ecosystem and is used primarily for trading and community participation.
How it works
The token was initially issued via a bonding curve mechanism against SPCX, Robinhood's tokenized SpaceX Class A share. After the curve was filled, liquidity transitioned to a Uniswap v4 pool trading the PROMETHEUS/SPCX pair. Trading fees on this pair are collected in SPCX rather than stablecoins or the network's native gas token.
Token and supply
Prometheus has a fixed maximum supply of 1 billion tokens with no ongoing emissions or inflation. The token is quoted primarily against SPCX and facilitates trading activity on its designated liquidity pool. No staking, governance, or collateral functions are described.
