What is QIE Blockchain?
Execution and consensus
QIE’s architecture combines the Cosmos SDK with an EVM execution environment. Ethereum-style smart contracts can therefore run within its own network. Tendermint supplies the consensus framework. Delegated proof of stake connects token delegation with validator participation. QIE pays for network transactions and contract execution. Validators can face penalties for double signing or other specified misconduct.
Currency and identity layer
The published maximum supply is 150 million QIE. The May 2026 whitepaper assigns 80% of gas fees to burning. Validator emissions follow a two-year halving schedule. These parameters combine declining issuance with transaction-linked destruction. QIE also supports staking within the network. Its QIEPass design introduces reusable identity credentials. Selective disclosure is intended to limit the personal information shared with an application. Human-readable payment identifiers form another part of that design. The identity layer is separate from the EVM’s execution rules. Described interoperability extensions remain dependent on their implementation and integration.
