What is qONE?
Overview
qONE addresses the risk posed by quantum computers to classical cryptography, which could eventually compromise private keys and wallet access. The protocol's primary product, qVAULT.xyz, is a non-custodial vault that adds a quantum-safe signature requirement alongside standard wallet keys. Users can deposit funds in a quantum-resistant state without surrendering custody to third parties. The vault currently supports qONE and HYPE, with plans to expand to Ethereum, USDC and USDT.
How it works
qVAULT.xyz operates as a smart contract on Hyperliquid's HyperEVM, layering quantum-resistant cryptography on top of existing wallet security. It implements the NIST-approved Falcon algorithm to create a second signature requirement, ensuring that compromise of the classical private key alone cannot authorize fund transfers. This design preserves non-custodial control while adding quantum-safe protection.
Token and supply
qONE has a fixed max supply of 1 billion tokens. The token serves three primary functions: paying transaction fees within the protocol, staking to access protocol features, and voting on governance decisions regarding upgrades. Total supply equals max supply with no ongoing inflation mechanism described.
Team and history
The qONE Security Protocol was built by qLABS in partnership with 01 Quantum, a Canadian publicly listed enterprise cybersecurity firm (TSXV: ONE; OTCQB: OONEF).
