What is QoreChain?
Overview
QoreChain operates as a Layer 1 blockchain with mainnet active since June 2026. It enforces NIST post-quantum signatures (ML-DSA-87, FIPS 204, category 5) on its native transaction lane without classical cryptographic fallback. The chain supports three virtual machines—EVM, CosmWasm, and SVM—all operating against shared state and consensus, eliminating the need for bridges between contract environments.
How it works
The network achieves 2.33-second average block times with single-block deterministic finality. Consensus and state management are unified across all three virtual machines, allowing contracts deployed on different lanes to access identical balances. The QoreChain Association, registered in Switzerland, operates the network infrastructure.
Token and supply
QOR is the native blockchain asset, denominated in uqor with 6 decimal places. Maximum supply is capped at 5.01 billion tokens. Network revenue—from fees and emission—is allocated as follows: 37% to validators, 30% permanently burned, 20% to treasury, 10% to stakers, and 3% to light nodes. This same distribution applies to newly issued tokens, ensuring 30% of all network creation is destroyed.
