What is RareFriends?
Overview
RareFriends operates a virtual-pet economy where users interact with NFT collections to generate rewards. Holding at least 1 RAREFRIENDS token causes a temporary Generations Friend NFT to appear in a user's collection, though this NFT has no reward weight and vanishes if the token balance falls below 1. The project funds rewards through active participation in its economy rather than passive holdings.
How it works
RareFriends is deployed on the Robinhood blockchain. Users can spend tokens to activate Genesis NFTs, hardwire Generations NFTs, or improve permanent Friends. Active NFTs within the collection share RAREFRIENDS rewards and WETH market fees generated by ecosystem activity.
Token and supply
RAREFRIENDS serves as the primary medium of exchange, spending mechanism, and reward distribution token within the ecosystem. Payments made with the token are spent rather than locked as deposits. The token has a total supply of 960.7 million with no stated maximum supply cap. Only active NFTs—not token holdings alone—qualify to receive reward distributions.
