What is Reserve Rights?
Yield funds
Reserve's Yield DTFs hold baskets of collateral that generate revenue. RSR holders can stake on a fund and receive its stRSR receipt token. Each fund maintains its own staking pool and governance configuration. Allocated fund revenue buys RSR and increases the receipt token's redemption rate. Staked RSR can be seized to cover collateral defaults, so this return compensates for first-loss exposure.
Index governance
Index DTFs use vote-locking to govern basket composition, weights, fees and upgrades. RSR is the default locking asset, although a fund creator can select another ERC-20 token. Locked balances provide voting weight within that fund. Fee sharing rewards vote-lockers only where it is enabled. This mechanism operates separately from the collateral insurance supplied by Yield DTF staking.
Supply and fees
RSR was issued with a supply of 100 billion tokens. Index DTF platform fees buy RSR on the market and send it to a burn address. Those burns apply even when an index selects another governance token. Undistributed allocations remain subject to restricted release arrangements. Yield-fund withdrawals also include a governance-configured delay before staked tokens can be recovered.
