What is Green Compute?
Compute services
The subnet’s current implementation is presented under the GreenCompute name. Its public code identifies mainnet subnet 110 and a separate test subnet. The service combines inference routing with GPU rentals. An API gateway offers a chat interface compatible with common OpenAI-style clients. It routes requests to available miners using service-health information. Registration and heartbeat processes track computing capacity. Rental leases provide a separate route for allocating GPUs.
Verification and token participation
Validator scoring combines performance, capacity, reliability and security signals. Utilisation and rental activity can also affect assessments. Randomised probes help detect cached responses or misrepresented service delivery. Signed reports make selected audit results inspectable. Their hashes can be recorded onchain each epoch. The alpha token belongs to Bittensor’s Dynamic TAO subnet model. A TAO pairing supports participation in the subnet’s token economy. Delegation connects stake with chosen validators. The asset is separate from a contractual entitlement to a particular GPU. Providing computation therefore differs from merely holding a token balance.
