What is Roko Network?
Overview
Roko Network addresses the challenge of establishing reliable time references and transaction sequences in decentralized systems. Built on Substrate and the Polkadot SDK, it allows smart contracts and applications to anchor activity to verifiable timestamps and enforce deadline-based conditions. Use cases include time-sensitive markets, sealed-bid auctions, autonomous agent activity logging, and systems requiring provenance records of submission sequences.
How it works
Roko operates as an EVM-compatible Layer-1 using Proof of Accurate Time (PoAT) consensus, which incorporates validator clock quality into the consensus process. A peer-to-peer timing mesh exchanges clock observations and measures synchronization accuracy against underlying timing sources. Transactions receive canonical nanosecond-resolution timestamps recorded on-chain; developers access this data via RPC interfaces and native EVM precompiles, while smart contracts can read transaction and block metadata timestamps to enforce time-dependent logic.
Token and supply
ROKO has a fixed maximum supply of 369.4 billion tokens deployed on Ethereum.
