What is Sanctum?
Solana infrastructure
Sanctum develops infrastructure for Solana staking and liquid staking tokens. The team began working on Solana in 2021 under the Socean name and contributed to the stake pool programme. Its products allow organisations and validators to offer their own liquid staking tokens. Sanctum also provides transaction delivery infrastructure through Gateway.
Liquidity and staking
Infinity combines multiple liquid staking tokens in a shared liquidity pool. It values the participating tokens through their underlying SOL rather than treating every receipt token as identical. Users can exchange supported staking assets or supply liquidity to the pool. INF represents a position in Infinity and can accrue staking income and swap fees. SANC is a separate asset and does not represent an Infinity pool deposit.
Token development
The original CLOUD allocation totalled one billion tokens. In September 2026, the team announced the change to the SANC name as a metadata update rather than a new token issuance. Community reserves have been subject to governance proposals, including a proposed supply reduction. Sanctum ended CLOUD staking and Active Staking Rewards in August 2026. Holding SANC does not itself represent staked SOL or an entitlement to a fixed staking return.
