What is SilverTimes Token?
Overview
SilverTimes Token is a commodity-backed token that tokenizes physical silver on the Ethereum blockchain. Each STT represents a direct claim to allocated silver reserves stored in vault custody. The token addresses friction points in conventional silver ownership, including storage complexity, limited trading access, and elevated entry barriers.
How it works
STT operates as an ERC token on Ethereum, allowing users to buy, sell, and trade silver exposure digitally. Token holders maintain direct claims to the underlying silver reserves backing each unit in circulation.
Peg and backing
SilverTimes Token maintains a 1:1 peg to physical silver, with each token backed by an equivalent amount of silver in secure vault storage. Reserve coverage is supported by Proof of Reserves documentation and third-party verification mechanisms. The token's supply adjusts based on the amount of silver held in reserves.
