What is Space and Time?
Verifiable data
Space and Time organizes indexed blockchain data and other datasets into queryable tables. Its Proof of SQL system produces zero-knowledge proofs for query results. The proof is checked against cryptographic commitments to the underlying data. Applications can use those results without rerunning the complete database query. Signed commitments link the data layer with the validator set.
SXT functions
Validators stake SXT to participate in consensus and secure the data commitments. Misconduct or failures can result in slashing under the protocol rules. Holders can also delegate tokens to validators. SXT pays for queries, data insertion and verifiable computation. Dataset publishers can earn tokens when users access their tables.
Supply and allocation
The published token supply is five billion SXT. Approximately 51.7% was assigned to community rewards and ecosystem development. Team and advisor allocations account for 22.4%, while investors receive 25.9%. Investor and team tokens follow multi-year release schedules. The token supplies an economic-security layer alongside the proof system's cryptographic checks.
