What is Spark?
Capital infrastructure
Spark's Liquidity Layer allocates capital across approved DeFi, centralized-finance and traditional-finance venues. Its contracts limit transfers through configured rate limits and operational permissions. Supported integrations include lending markets, stablecoin pools and ERC-4626 vaults. Governance controls approved destinations and changes to the allocation system. Spark's savings and lending positions are separate from the SPK token. Holding SPK does not represent ownership of the underlying investment portfolio.
Distribution and participation
Ten billion SPK were minted at genesis. Sky farming receives 65% through a ten-year distribution program. The Spark ecosystem receives 23%, and the team allocation is 12%. Sky retains limited authority to mint additional tokens under extreme circumstances. SPK holders use Snapshot voting for signaling and sentiment checks. Users can stake SPK through infrastructure provided by Symbiotic. Current staking rewards take the form of Spark Points, with Symbiotic also awarding its own points. Product validation and security roles for staked SPK are planned to expand in later phases. Depositing USDS into the designated farm provides another route to earn SPK. The token carries no company-equity or automatic profit-distribution rights.
