What is Squid?
Overview
Squid enables users to send tokens on one blockchain and receive them on another without managing individual bridges, gas tokens, or multiple signatures. The protocol supports over 106 chains including EVM, Cosmos, Bitcoin, Solana, XRPL, and Hedera, covering access to 20 thousand+ tokens. The platform abstracts multichain complexity for both end users and developers building cross-chain applications.
How it works
Squid operates as a suite of interconnected tools: the Intents protocol layer executes swaps in under 5 seconds, the Aggregator routes liquidity across 130+ decentralized exchanges and off-chain sources, and Token Service and Accounts provide abstraction layers. Developers integrate via the Squid SDK, while end users access functionality through the live Squid Bridge interface. All cross-chain movements are consolidated into a single settled transaction.
Token and supply
QUID is the native token of the Squid ecosystem with a fixed maximum supply of 1 billion. The token is used for staking, priority access to products, and governance participation within the protocol. QUID is deployed on Base.
