What is SSV Network?
Distributed validator technology
A validator signing key is split into multiple shares. Different operators hold and use these shares. The operator cluster jointly performs Ethereum validator duties. No single operator needs the complete signing key. This arrangement provides redundancy when part of the cluster becomes unavailable.
Current payment model
Current clusters deposit ETH for operator and network fees. Operators receive ETH for maintaining validators. Legacy clusters can still use SSV-denominated payments. A portion of ETH network fees goes to the SSV staking contract. SSV governance covers protocol decisions and treasury allocation.
SSV staking
Staking SSV supplies voting weight to the effective-balance oracle system. Stakers receive transferable cSSV position tokens. cSSV balances do not automatically rebase as rewards accrue. ETH rewards can be claimed separately. Unstaking starts a seven-day cooldown. Oracle reports provide the effective balances used in network accounting.
