What is Stable?
Execution and settlement
Stable runs Ethereum-compatible smart contracts through its Stable EVM execution layer. StableBFT uses a customized delegated proof-of-stake design. Validators agree on transaction ordering and finalize blocks through this consensus system. The network focuses on payment and settlement applications using stablecoins. USDT0 covers transaction charges, allowing dollar-denominated fees without requiring STABLE for gas.
Token allocation
The protocol issued 100 billion STABLE on December 8, 2025. Its published model provides no subsequent token issuance. Ten percent was assigned to the genesis distribution. Ecosystem development received 40%, with 25% each allocated to the team and investors or advisors. Vesting and release arrangements determine when allocated tokens become transferable.
Security and governance
STABLE is used for validator staking and delegation. Delegated positions connect token holders with the network's security and reward system. Governance covers protocol parameters and other decisions specified by the network. Transaction fees collected in USDT are routed through treasury contracts. Validators and delegators receive distributions under the protocol's fee-allocation rules, rather than through new STABLE block issuance.
