What is Stader?
Overview
Stader provides liquid staking infrastructure for Proof-of-Stake networks including Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, and Fantom. The platform serves over 85 thousand stakers ranging from retail participants to exchanges, custodians, and institutional users seeking staking rewards. Users stake crypto assets while maintaining non-custodial control and gaining access to additional yield opportunities across supported networks.
How it works
Stader operates as a multi-chain protocol allowing users to stake assets on participating PoS blockchains. Stakers receive liquid representations of their stake, enabling continued participation in decentralized finance while earning staking rewards. The platform manages validator operations through permissionless node operators who bond collateral to participate.
Token and supply
SD is the governance token with a maximum supply of 150 million tokens and a total supply of 120 million tokens distributed across over 23 thousand holders. SD functions as a collateral requirement for node operators (minimum 0.4 ETH worth per validator), powers a utility pool that rewards holders for contributing to network decentralization, and enables governance voting on protocol upgrades, reward policies, and validator selection. Governance votes determine additional uses including liquidity mining incentives.
