What is STON?
Exchange architecture
STON.fi provides swaps between Toncoin and TON-based tokens. Liquidity pools supply the assets used for those swaps. Its technical design includes an automated market maker on TON. Users connect compatible wallets to interact with exchange contracts. Transactions require Toncoin for network fees. STON holders can trade the token through the exchange. Governance participation is tied to staking rather than simply using a swap.
Supply and governance
The original token plan specifies 100 million STON. Half of that allocation supports the DAO treasury, incentives, marketing and operations. Pre-seed and private-sale allocations together account for 31%. Team and adviser allocations make up the remaining 19%. Those categories have different lockups and release schedules. Staking grants voting power in the STON.fi DAO. Stakers also earn GEMSTON under the protocol's reward design. DAO voting addresses upgrades and new exchange features.
