What is StorX?
Files distributed among independent nodes
StorX encrypts uploaded files before distributing them. It divides the encrypted data into fragments. Replication spreads those fragments across multiple storage nodes. This architecture reduces dependence on a single storage location. Integrity checks help detect missing or altered fragments. Customers retain the key material needed to recover their content. Services include file storage and S3-compatible storage. Backup products cover archival, Google Workspace and Kubernetes use cases.
Storage payments and node participation
SRX follows XDC's XRC-20 token standard. Its published supply is 500 million tokens. The token uses 18 decimal places. Storage operators stake SRX as part of node participation. Hosting rewards depend on maintaining the required node reputation. Customers' payments connect storage demand with operator compensation. The distribution includes node incentives, ecosystem development and operating allocations. SRX serves that marketplace rather than representing ownership of stored customer files.
