What is SQD?
Data infrastructure
SQD was developed by Subsquid Labs. Its mainnet launched in June 2024. The network stores and serves blockchain data through worker nodes. A router directs queries to workers holding the requested block ranges. Supported data includes transactions, events and other chain-specific records.
Developer access
The Portal API provides blockchain data over HTTP. Developers can request selected fields and filter data before processing it. TypeScript tools support custom indexing pipelines. SQD Cloud hosts indexers and GraphQL interfaces. Current Portal access also includes paid service plans and API keys.
Token participation
SQD supports participation in the decentralized network. Workers and gateways use token-based access arrangements. Delegators can contribute indirectly to storage and compute provision. Tokenholders can participate in technical and operational governance. These rights concern the network rather than ownership of Subsquid Labs. Token allocations include vesting arrangements that release supply over time.
