What is Succinct?
Proof generation
Succinct connects applications requesting proofs with operators that supply proving capacity. Its SP1 software supports general-purpose verifiable computation. A proof lets a verifier check execution without repeating the full computation. The network supports applications across multiple blockchain ecosystems. PROVE denominates payments within this proving economy.
Security and participation
Provers receive PROVE for delivering valid proof work. Token holders can stake through the network's prover-staking system. Staking contributes economic security and aligns participants with proving revenue. The token's published functions also include governance. The proving network is distinct from a standalone Layer 1 payment blockchain.
Supply and allocation
PROVE has a fixed supply of one billion tokens. Public allocations and future incentives receive 25% of the supply. A further 25% supports ecosystem development and research. Contributors receive 29.5%, investors 10.5%, and the foundation 10%. Investor and contributor allocations follow four-year release schedules with an initial one-year cliff.
