What is Tajir?
Overview
Tajir Chain is a Layer 2 network designed to facilitate payments and commerce on blockchain infrastructure. The ecosystem supports merchants accepting stablecoin payments and provides users with a non-custodial wallet for transaction management. The network targets users seeking lower-cost transaction settlement and merchants seeking accessible payment rails.
How it works
Tajir is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 using OP Stack for execution and rollup consensus, built with Polygon's CDK tooling and connected to Polygon AggLayer (Chain ID 3377). Transaction fees are collected on the network, with a portion permanently removed from circulation through burning. Users can lock TJR tokens to join the Participation Tier System, which unlocks benefits including reduced fees, launchpad access, and merchant cashback.
Token and supply
TJR is deployed as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum with a fixed maximum supply of 650 million tokens and no minting capability in the current implementation. The token serves as the gas asset for transaction fees on Tajir Chain. A portion of network fees is burned permanently, creating ongoing deflation.
