What is Talus?
Architecture
Talus uses Sui Move contracts for workflow state, permissions and settlement. Its Talus Agentic Framework connects on-chain actions with off-chain computation. Developers package services as reusable Talus Tools. These tools can include model calls, external APIs and smart-contract functions. Nexus implements the framework through contracts and an off-chain Leader network. Leaders coordinate execution and return results to the on-chain system.
Token functions
US is used for protocol-defined service pricing and workflow prioritization. Nexus priority fees are settled in US and linked to Sui gas costs. The token design also supports stakes for coordination nodes and registered tools. These stakes provide an economic bond that can be slashed for malicious behavior. The Leader network's decentralization and staking features are being developed in stages. Locking US alone does not grant a passive claim on protocol income.
Issuance and distribution
The published token supply is ten billion US. Talus Token Issuer Ltd issues the asset within the Talus Foundation structure. Ecosystem allocations support usage subsidies and participation programs. Distribution can increase circulating supply as those allocations are released. US represents protocol utility and community functions rather than company equity.
