What is THINK Protocol?
Overview
THINK Protocol powers decentralized AI agents and tokenized intelligence across Web3. Users build, own, and interact with autonomous software agents called THINK Agents, which operate as Non-Fungible Intelligences (NFIs)—composable on-chain entities that combine identity, logic, and memory into upgradeable, user-controlled assets. These agents are interoperable across platforms adopting the THINK Agent Standard and support use cases in media, gaming, finance, and productivity.
How it works
THINK Agents are autonomous, context-aware software entities deployed on-chain that adapt to user data, preferences, and tasks. The protocol provides a modular infrastructure layer supporting agent minting, upgrading, and interoperability. Governance and protocol development are overseen by the Think Foundation, a non-profit entity stewarding open-source standards.
Token and supply
THINK is the native utility token used to mint and upgrade agents, access compute and storage services, participate in governance, and facilitate peer-to-peer payments between agents. The protocol features THINK TANK, a staking mechanism that distributes rewards from an emission pool to participants based on ecosystem contribution and agent performance. Maximum supply is fixed at 1 billion tokens.
Team and history
THINK Protocol launched in July 2025. The project has gained support and integrations from over 80 ecosystem projects through the Independent AI Institute.
