What is Treehouse?
Overview
Treehouse addresses the lack of fixed-income infrastructure in decentralized finance by introducing decentralized benchmark rates and yield-bearing instruments. The protocol targets DeFi participants seeking predictable returns and structured products like interest rate swaps and fixed-rate loans. By bringing traditional fixed-income primitives on-chain, Treehouse aims to enable a more mature market structure comparable to traditional finance.
How it works
DOR (Decentralized Offered Rates) is a rate-setting mechanism where network participants submit forward rate expectations and stake on their accuracy, similar to LIBOR. tAssets are liquid staking token wrappers that capture rate differences across lending markets—for instance, tETH aligns borrow costs with ETH staking yields. Together these primitives stabilize DeFi rates and serve as building blocks for yield strategies and structured products.
Token and supply
TREE has a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens, with a total supply also at 1 billion. The token is deployed across Avalanche, Ethereum, BNB Chain, and HyperEVM. Supply mechanics and token utility details are available in the project whitepaper.
