What is Ultra?
Overview
Ultra is a protocol and platform that leverages blockchain technology to allow developers and entrepreneurs to create and operate their own game distribution services and virtual goods marketplaces. It targets the gaming industry by reducing reliance on established gatekeepers like Steam, Google, and Apple. The platform accepts both traditional payment methods—including PayPal and credit cards—and native cryptocurrency, with fiat transactions automatically converted to UOS tokens on the blockchain.
How it works
Ultra operates as an Ethereum-based platform where games, virtual items, and advertisements are traded using the UOS token. The protocol incorporates a timelock mechanism that reserves 10–20% of transaction value in a smart contract for 60 days, while 5% of platform profits are reserved for two years to fund exclusive blockchain-native games.
Token and supply
UOS powers transactions across the Ultra ecosystem, including game purchases, virtual goods trading, and advertising services. The token is also used for non-transactional activities such as betting, tournaments, and donations. Users can earn UOS through platform engagement—beta testing, watching ads, developer feedback, and surveys—and receive rewards by holding tokens. Max supply and total supply are both fixed at 1 billion UOS.
