What is Umia?

Launch and issuance

Umia was incubated by Chainbound. Its token auction ran from August 26 to September 2, 2026. The initial token issuance totals 50 million UMIA. Forty million belong to the launch allocation. The remaining 10 million form a locked performance reserve.

Decision markets

Markets compare a proposed action with a Do Nothing alternative. An action must outperform that alternative by two percentage points before execution. Decisions can cover treasury spending, strategy, protocol upgrades and additional minting. UMIA therefore has a governance function rather than a permanently fixed issuance guarantee. Decisions concern the Umia protocol itself.

Treasury and reserves

Protocol-owned liquidity pairs UMIA with USDC on Uniswap v4. Performance tokens are locked in MetaVest. Their release requires specified multiples of the auction closing price, measured using a 30-day time-weighted average. Service providers, the team and backers have separate vesting schedules. Tokens issued by participating projects remain distinct from UMIA.
