What is USDA?
Overview
USDA is a stablecoin issued by Brale on Canton Network, a public-permissioned blockchain serving global financial institutions, banks, asset managers, and trading firms. The token addresses institutional demand for USD-denominated settlement with built-in privacy, supporting atomic settlement of tokenized real-world assets, delivery-versus-payment workflows, cross-border B2B payments, payroll, and treasury operations. Canton Network operates with a decentralized synchronization service called the Global Synchronizer, enabling round-the-clock settlement across independent applications.
How it works
USDA implements the Canton Token Standard (CIP-56), making it composable across wallets, applications, and venues on the Canton network from deployment. The network provides sub-transaction privacy, meaning only authorized participants can view transaction contents, balances, and counterparties while maintaining atomic settlement. This privacy model is inherited by USDA while preserving financial market infrastructure requirements for atomic execution.
Peg and backing
Each USDA token is backed 1:1 by US dollars. The stablecoin maintains its peg through this direct backing mechanism, designed to support institutional cash settlement workflows requiring stability and reliability.
Supply
Total supply is approximately 10 million USDA tokens.
