What is USDFC?
Overview
USDFC is a fiat-backed stablecoin designed to introduce stable on-chain liquidity to the Filecoin network. The token serves users seeking fixed-rate lending and decentralized finance access without exposure to volatile assets. By bridging traditional financial stability with blockchain infrastructure, USDFC aims to expand DeFi adoption on FVM.
How it works
USDFC operates on the Filecoin Virtual Machine and integrates with cross-chain infrastructure through Axelar and Squid, enabling swaps across multiple networks. The stablecoin supports fixed-rate lending protocols and other DeFi applications native to the Filecoin ecosystem.
Peg and backing
USDFC maintains a 1:1 peg to the US Dollar through over-collateralization by FIL tokens. The over-collateralized model ensures the token's stability by requiring more collateral value than issued stablecoin supply. Total supply is approximately 190 thousand tokens with no maximum supply cap defined.
Team and history
USDFC was launched in March 2025 by Secured Finance, which operates the stablecoin protocol on FVM.
