What is Verathos?
Overview
Verathos delivers AI inference with cryptographic verification on the Bittensor network. Every inference generates a proof over committed model weights, enabling validators to verify computation without specialized hardware. Validators randomly check layers in approximately 4 milliseconds; failed proofs result in immediate probation and score zeroing. The protocol serves as a drop-in replacement for existing AI API integrations.
How it works
The system operates on Bittensor Subnet 96 with validators confirming random layers of model execution on standard CPU hardware. Operators that fail verification are instantly excluded from receiving traffic, eliminating reliance on trusted intermediaries. Verified inference is currently in production; verified training and TEE-based encrypted inference are planned additions.
