What is Verse?

Overview

VERSE accelerates cryptocurrency adoption by rewarding users who engage with Bitcoin.com's products, including its multichain wallet serving over 50 million self-custody wallets, news portal, and educational resources. The token incentivizes newcomers to learn and interact safely with decentralized finance applications. Users earn VERSE through ecosystem participation and can redeem it for discounts, perks, and access to applications within the Bitcoin.com environment.

How it works

VERSE operates across Ethereum and Polygon networks. The ecosystem centers on the Bitcoin.com Wallet app, which includes Verse Explorer (a web3-enabled browser), Verse DEX (multichain decentralized exchange), and educational dApps. A variant token, fxVERSE, was deployed on Polygon to enable a micro-rewards system.

Token and supply

VERSE has a maximum supply of 210 billion tokens. The token is earned through ecosystem activity, held for benefits, and used within apps and dApps. Supply is reduced through a buyback and burn mechanism: Bitcoin.com purchases VERSE from markets and sends it to the Verse Burn Engine, where accumulated tokens are burned when triggered. The Ecosystem Fund also allocates VERSE to the burn engine proportional to ecosystem activity to ensure sustainable supply reduction.
