What is World Mobile Token?
Connectivity and payments
World Mobile combines physical communications infrastructure with a blockchain-based network economy. Customers can pay for services through its application. Local-currency payments are also supported where required. The service price is denominated in local currency. World Mobile converts fiat payments into tokens for network fees. This keeps a customer's recharge cost separate from token price fluctuations.
Staking and distribution
Network nodes use WMTX staking to participate in consensus. Node rewards encourage operation of the network's infrastructure. The published token allocation totals two billion WMTX. It includes reserves for node operators, staking incentives and network rollout. The original WMT private and public sales took place in 2021. WMTX representations are documented on Cardano, Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base. These representations belong to one token economy rather than separate two-billion-token allocations. Token holdings and a customer's telecommunications service account perform different functions.
