What is Zclassic?
Overview
Zclassic is a privacy coin that operates as a fork of Zcash, removing the founder's reward mechanism to distribute all mining proceeds directly to network participants. The project prioritizes community-driven development funded without fees to centralized entities. It uses the same zero-knowledge proof cryptography as Zcash, allowing users to conduct fully private transactions on a public blockchain.
How it works
Zclassic operates on Proof of Work consensus using the Equihash hashing algorithm. The blockchain maintains the same privacy parameters from Zcash's original setup, enabling shielded transactions that hide sender, receiver, and transaction amounts while remaining publicly verifiable.
Token and supply
ZCL is the native asset of the Zclassic blockchain with a maximum supply of 11.5 million coins. New coins are issued through mining block rewards that go entirely to miners without any portion directed to developers or founders. There is no staking, governance token functionality, or special fee structure.
