Distribution and participation
The published ZEST allocation totals one billion tokens. Community distribution receives 27.83% of that allocation. Ecosystem funding accounts for 24.82%. Investors receive 22.35%, while the team receives 25%. Team and investor tokens have a one-year cliff followed by three years of linear vesting. Unlocked ecosystem tokens are released according to foundation programs rather than automatically entering public circulation. The token documentation lists governance and staking as planned functions. Those plans should be distinguished from the protocol's existing lending products.
