What is Circle xStock?
Instrument
Backed Assets (JE) Limited issues Circle xStock. Circle Internet Group is the underlying equity issuer. CRCLx tracks the company's stock price, rather than the value of its USDC stablecoin. Each token is backed by shares held through third-party custody. Holders receive indirect equity exposure. The certificate does not confer the company's ordinary shareholder voting or information rights.
On-chain form
The issuer supports ERC-20 and Solana SPL versions. Compatible wallets can hold and transfer the tokens. Eligible exchange users can trade fractional amounts. On Kraken, trading is available for an extended 24/5 schedule. Blockchain transferability does not remove the product's jurisdiction and account-eligibility restrictions.
Costs and access
The current product record lists no ongoing management charge. It allows a future management fee of up to 0.25% annually. Issuance and redemption fees can reach 0.50%. Direct transactions with Backed follow its onboarding and investor conditions. Redemption and exchange sales are separate exit routes. CRCLx is not offered to US persons, and its price exposure can rise or fall with Circle's shares.
